Update Notes
Monday, April 23, 2012
The last week has been a busy one for the puppies. They're just about seven weeks old now. With this age comes de-worming treatments,
vaccinations, more baths and grooming, more time outside, and less dependence on
Lady. It seems they are starting to treat
Lady like another dog instead of a provider
now.
Renaldi was the first to go in for vaccinations this weekend and he did really
well. He went in a few days early to make sure all bases were covered before
crossing the border to our North today. Good thing he is one of the big boys.
The rest of the crew will be going into the doc for vaccinations this
Wednesday.
We enjoyed the opportunity to meet the new owners of Renaldi last night when they
came over after finishing up a weekend hockey tournament in Minneapolis. They
ended up winning third overall in the tourney and got to bring
Renaldi back to
Canada with them too. I guess you could say they ended up returning home with
two Bronzes today :) We really enjoyed the visit with them and are happy knowing
the little guy has a fulfilling, active life in front of him in a home with a
great family.
My brother in-law also got a little surprise from his wife yesterday. He had
always wanted one of Lady's puppies but wasn't sure if the timing was right for
him and his wife as newly-weds.
His wife called me up last week and said she
wanted to surprise him with Angelo this weekend. We had a house-full over for a
cookout on Sunday. During dinner, Angelo moseyed over to him with a bow around
his collar. . . a memory was made :)
Here's a video of a typical evening around the house with the puppies during the week. The video
was taken last Thursday a little before sun down.

Tuesday, April 17, 2012 - New Homes
We are glad to announce that each of Lady's puppies have been reserved and will be transitioning into new homes in a few weeks. We've had the opportunity to meet almost everyone and are excited
for all the families who will get to take them home with them.
With exception to Renaldi who will be moving North of the US border, all of
Lady's puppies will be moving to new homes in the Midwest.
We will continue to post updates and photos here on our site but if any of you
have special requests you would like us to fulfill during the last few weeks
your puppies will be in our and Lady's care, please let us know.

Monday, April 16, 2012 - Weekend of Fun
The puppies all spent a great deal of time outside over the weekend with visitors
and our family. Everyone got new toys to play with, got baths in on Saturday,
had their toe nails clipped. They all got to squeeze in a few naps in the sun on
Sunday too.
Today, snow was falling from the sky here and a bunch of nasty weather and wind
blew in with it. The pups are all snuggled in together in warm blankets and
probably won't be spending much time outside today.

Sunday, April 1, 2012 - First Bath
The puppies had their first bath today in our kitchen sink. All the puppies did
really well in the water and were very calm throughout. They spent most of the
afternoon together in the sunshine snoozing on our kitchen floor. Along with
getting their first bath in, each had their claws trimmed as well. The pups are
looking great!

Friday, March 30th, 2012 - Food
Lady continues to spend a lot of time with the group but the time has come for
them to start eating puppy food in addition to what Lady provides. Erin softened
up a cake pan of Pedigree Puppy Chow with water for the first time. The group
absolutely loved it! So much, that they decided to completely bathe themselves
in it. I think they'll sleep well tonight. Tomorrow will probably be the day
they get their first bath.

Saturday, March 23th, 2012 - An Eye Opener
Between Saturday and Monday, each of the puppies opened their eyes for the first
time. We noticed Aurora was the first of the six to do so. Now that they've
opened their eyes, their personalities are starting to come through. Fun stuff! They're
growing so quickly.

Tuesday, March 13th, 2012 - Vet Visit
All six made a trip to the Osseo-August Veterinary
Clinic for a general check, to get their tails docked, and to have their dew
claws removed. The doc sent us off remarking that all the puppies are in great
shape and are healthy. Their tails were all docked to the common Springer bench
length. Its tough to be exact in describing the length, but generally, this
means the puppies tail will be about 3 to 4 inches long when they grow to an
adult size. The doc mentioned they "must have been well-fed" in their first four days
with a smile
:)

Friday, March 9th, 2012 - Arrival
Lady
delivered six beautiful puppies in our home. The litter is made up of four males and two females, four
black and white and two liver and white (all tri-color) puppies.
They are all
absolutely beautiful and healthy! Lady was calm and did great throughout.
This photo was taken on the day of birth. It looks like Renaldi, Palamino, Aurora and Ariel made it into this one. A
special thanks goes out to Erin's parents for helping us and Lady through the
process.

Update Notifications
We'll be putting
update notes and photos of the puppies out here as they grow
to help keep you up to date with current and upcoming milestones.
If you would like to be notified by email when these updates get posted to our
site,
send
us a quick mesage.

This photo of Lady was taken two days after delivery. It looks like she could pay a visit to the groomer, but
showed no signs of a slow down when it came time for some backyard play.
